marching band
The
Providence Catholic Band class program is an honors accredited
class. The band’s program is broken up into two distinctive
parts.
The fall semester is mainly dedicated to
marching performances including performances at all home
football games. The band also marches for all major parades in
Chicago that are televised all over the country including the
Columbus, Thanksgiving and St. Patrick’s Day parades. The band
competes in a select few marching band competitions. The
Providence band also enhances the band experience by touring all
over the country performing and competing in national bowl
games.
The
Providence Catholic Marching Celtics are the heart and soul of
many school events. The band performs and rocks the stands
during football season as well as performs field shows for
pregame, halftime and post game. From the bands exciting run on
from the end zones to forming the giant “P C” and playing the
school fight song it is a university-like
atmosphere the band conveys. During basketball season the band
continues to energize the crowd and the school. The band is
split in half into a white and green band and performs for a
handful of boys and girls games.
