The Providence Varsity Hockey Team traveled to New York on October 26-29 to play in the CAN/AM Lake Placid Tournament, in which they took fourth place.  The players and their families had a great time.  The boys thoroughly enjoyed the trip and appreciated being able to have this once and a lifetime experience. The highlight of the trip was not only playing on the same ice as the US did but also winning their game on that ice by the same score of 4-3 as the US did over the Soviets. The team also visited the Lake Placid Olympic museum and viewed many things from the 1932 and 1980 Olympics such as actual medals, torches, videos, equipment and uniforms of the 1980 team.  Click below to view photos from the trip.
