Guidance Department
Guidance is a systematic process of assisting
students in making choices, plans, adjustments, undertaking
self-direction, and solving personal problems.
The Guidance Department of Providence Catholic High School is
designed to provide information to students that will enable them to make
wise decisions essential to their spiritual, academic, social and
emotional growth.
The goal of guidance in the school is consistent with
the school's goal of education: to assist in producing Christian men and women who
are spiritually alive, intellectually alert, culturally aware, socially
oriented, emotionally stable and worthy, responsible citizens.
To accomplish this, the Guidance Department provides the following
services for its students:
- Group
guidance
- Personal
counseling
- College
guidance
- National
Testing Program
- Vocational
and military guidance
- Spectrum
Program (Rainbows
For All God’s Children)
To effect these programs, all the educational staff of the school
participates – Pastoral Department, Teachers, Administrators, and
Guidance Specialists.
