KAIROS:
TOMORROW MORNING’S MASS IN THE CHAPEL HAS A SPECIAL PRAYER
INTENTION: THE SPIRITUAL SUCCESS OF THIS WEEK’S KAIROS RETREAT.
ALL MEMBERS OF THE PROVIDENCE FAMILY, WHETHER YOU HAVE ATTENDED
A KAIROS RETREAT OR NOT, ARE INVITED TO ATTEND TO PRAY FOR THE
CANDIDATES AND THE TEAM. MASS BEGINS AT 7:25
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS: Applications for seasonal
employment at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre are available
in the Guidance Office. Applications are due by March 15.
The Princeton Review is hosting a National Testing Day on
Saturday, March 20. This is another good opportunity to take a
full-length, practice ACT or SAT under actual testing conditions
and also receive a personal, detailed score report. Please stop
by the Guidance Office for a list of times and testing
locations.. You must pre-register at
www.PrincetonReview.com/NationalTesting Day or by
calling 1-800-2REVIEW. Space is limited, so register today!

ACTIVITIES & CLUBS:
Attention AYM members:
Do not forget that your ten outside service hours are due to
Ms. Duffy by March 31st.
RELAY FOR LIFE:
There is a mandatory meeting after school on Tuesday,
March 9th in room 203 for all seniors
participating in the AYM All Youth Relay For Life
this year. Please see Mrs. McMaster or Ms. Duffy if you cannot
attend.
The AYM Lent Food Drive
is going on now through Wednesday, March 17th! Bags
for nonperishable food items are located in the Main Office,
Pastoral Office, and Theology classrooms. Thank you in advance
for your donations!
ART CLUB:
There will be no Art club meeting this week. We will meet next
Tuesday, March 16.
NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY:
will meet this Wednesday, March 10 at 3:00 in the Art Room.
Please plan to stay until 4:00 unless you are already finished
with your brick!
“DOODLE 4 GOOGLE”:
Anyone interested in participating in the “Doodle 4 Google”
contest should see Mrs. Zlogar this week for requirements,
deadlines, and a template or go to doodle4google.com for
information.

Boys Volleyball Tryouts:
Tryouts for boys volleyball will be on
Monday March 8th
in the Big Gym:

Freshmen 3 – 5:30pm
-
Jr. Varsity 5 – 7pm

Varsity 6:30 – 9pm
Wear a shirt with your last name on the back and come dressed to
play. Questions: see Coach Olczyk or Coach Krapil in the
Guidance Department. Managers report to the Big Gym by 2:45
please.
Congratulations to the Poms on an amazing season. We are all
very proud of you.
BOYS BASKETBALL: Congratulations to Colin Uthe
who advanced to Sectionals for the 3 point contest tomorrow at
Homewood Flossmoor High School.
BOYS TRACK:
Congratulations to Jake Rogers who placed 3rd in high
jump (5’ 10”) at the 24 team Catholic Schools Invite at Lewis
University.
Any boys still interested in coming out for track should
see Coach Cogs in room 224.
Boys’ Tennis:
Tryouts for the Freshman/Sophomore Tennis Team will be
from 3:30 to 5:30 today. Meet on the tennis courts ready to
play. See Coach Mahaffey in the Guidance Department if you have
any questions.
BASS FISHING:
We will have a meeting on Tuesday March 9th, after
school in room 209. You must be at the meeting to be on
the team.
