The
Providence Catholic Athletic Association was established in 2002
to fund projects for the Providence Athletic Department, which
the budgeted income from tuition and fundraising was unable to
fund.
Athletic competition is an important ingredient in the high
school experience. More than 85% of all Providence Catholic
students participate in a sport or activity. The Providence
Celtics maintain a standard of excellence that stands second to
none. Providence Catholic High School has won 24 state
championship titles in six sports to date, totaling more titles
than any other Catholic high school in Illinois.
In
order to participate, practice, or compete in a specific sport
or activity at Providence Catholic, students and athletes must
have passing grades in all classes. Providence Catholic prides
itself on the fact that our student-athletes are leaders both on
the playing field and in the classroom. This Association, along
with the families of Providence Catholic High School, hopes to
continue to improve the Athletic facilities for both boys and
girl athletes.
