About Our Program

Within the spirit of the teachings at Providence Catholic, the Girls’ Basketball student-athletes and coaches proudly represent our school. The coaches and players embrace the values of truth, unity and love within a team environment that teaches much more than the game itself.

There are four teams in the Providence Catholic Girl’s Basketball Program that are directed by Head Varsity Coach Eileen Copenhaver: Freshman A & B, Sophomore and Varsity. At each level, our goal is to prepare the players for their next level of play by scheduling a competitive schedule, providing quality coaching and playing and practicing with purpose.

We currently play in one of the toughest leagues in the state, the East Suburban Catholic Conference. We host a freshman and sophomore Thanksgiving tournament, participate in the Geneva Invitational at the varsity level, participate in the Naperville North/Benet Academy Invitational at Christmas and round out the schedule with good local competition.

The coaching staff provides a competitive in-season practice and playing schedule, summer workouts, summer basketball camps, 7th & 8th grade summer league, a yearly coaching clinic, post-season individual workouts and a pre-season conditioning program for all interested.

Tryout Information

Tryouts for all levels of Girls' Basketball are typically held on the last Monday of October or the first Monday of November. Check the announcements for details.
