Retreats Program
Retreats are scheduled to introduce the student to the affective dimension of faith. Every student is required to attend a retreat each year.
The Freshman and Sophomore classes spend a day here on campus discussing faith issues with classmates, led by faculty and senior students.
The junior class attends an off-campus retreat led by Fr. Terry Deffenbaugh, OSA, with assistance from faculty and senior students.
Seniors who do not participate in Kairos must attend a one-day, off-campus retreat.
Kairos
This three-day, off-campus retreat for seniors is an exceptionally powerful experience of God’s love that focuses on personal witness stories, liturgy, song, prayer and small group discussions.
For more information, contact Kairos Director Mr. John Sosnowski (also known as "Senor")
by email or at 815.717.3367.
Fourth Day
Students and staff who have experienced the Kairos retreat gather periodically each year for small group discussion and the celebration of liturgy.
Freshman Welcome
The freshman welcome is scheduled as the first class activity following orientation in August. Volunteer faculty, staff and students lead exercises that introduce freshmen to each other within the context of the Augustinian values of truth, community and love.
Community Day of Reflection
The adult staff goes on a day-long retreat to pray, build community and simply enjoy each other’s company.
