Financial Aid & Scholarships

Through both the school's endowment and the generosity of the Diocese of Joliet, Providence Catholic High School is able to provide a quality, Catholic college preparatory education to many students at an affordable price.  Listed below are the forms of financial assistance available to students who qualify.  Families will be notified of their financial aid and scholarship awards AFTER registration.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Freshman Celtic Scholar Award:

The top fifteen scorers on the Providence Incoming Freshman Placement Exam receive a one-time scholarship worth $1,000.  

Augustinian Service Scholarship:
The Augustinian Service Scholarship for incoming Providence freshmen will be awarded to one boy and one girl based on service to their parish. Each scholarship is equal to $2,000 toward freshman year tuition (one-time).  

Harris Bank “Off to a Good Start” Scholarship:
The Harris Bank “Off to a Good Start” Scholarship for incoming Providence freshmen is awarded to one boy and one girl based on academic ability and financial need. Each scholarship is equal to $1,000 toward freshman tuition (one-time).  

Chase Academic Achievement Scholarship:
The Chase Academic Achievement Scholarship for incoming Providence freshmen is awarded to one boy and one girl based on academic ability and financial need.  Each scholarship is equal to $1,500 toward freshman year tuition (one-time). 

imagjen Charities Scholarship:
The i•mag•jen Charities Scholarship, awarded to one winner annually, is a four-year, renewable scholarship worth $3,500 per year, for a total of up to $14,000 over a student’s career at Providence.  Applicants must be in good academic and disciplinary standing and have applied for financial assistance. 

Celtic Leadership Scholarship:
The Celtic Leadership Scholarship, awarded to four winners annually, is a four-year renewable scholarship worth $2000 per year, for a total of up to $8000 over a student’s career at Providence.  Applicants must be in good academic and disciplinary standing and have applied for financial assistance.

 
Financial Aid
Over the past few years, PCHS has significantly increased the amount of financial aid available to our families in need.  All Providence families are invited to apply for financial aid through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.  The deadline is March 1 of the previous school year.  All families who apply will be considered for the PCHS Student Need-based Aid.  Only those families who are registered parishioners in the Joliet Diocese will be considered for Joliet Diocesan Aid. Visit www.factstuitionaid.com to file for financial aid.
 
Summer Work Program:
Students can work at Providence during the summer and earn money to be credited toward their tuition for the following year. Students currently receiving aid are encouraged to apply to this program.
 
Work-Study Program:
This program assists students by providing lunch during the school year in return for working during their study period.
 
Tuition Payment Options:
Tuition may be paid either as a lump sum at the beginning of the school year, or make monthly payments throughout the school year (August 1 to May 1. We are happy to make arrangements to accommodate the needs of any family.
