51 Seniors Named Illinois State Scholars
NEW LENOX, IL (November 15, 2024) – Providence Catholic Principal Mr. Paul Houston is pleased to announce 51 students from the graduating class of 2025 have been designated as Illinois State Scholars, representing 29% of the class. These scholars are selected each year by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) based on their academic achievements.
The Illinois State Scholar recognition is awarded annually by ISAC, the state’s college access and financial aid agency, to high-achieving Illinois high school students. This year’s honorees join a distinguished group of scholars recognized since the award’s inception in 1958.
“We are incredibly proud of these 51 students and their hard-earned recognition as Illinois State Scholars,” says Mr. Houston. “This achievement highlights their dedication to excellence in and out of the classroom. These students are leaders and role models who are poised for success in their future endeavors. On behalf of the entire Providence Catholic community, I offer my sincere congratulations to each of them and look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years ahead.”
