The INCubator Program

Providence Catholic, in collaboration with INCubatoredu, will offer students an authentic entrepreneurship experience.   In this program, students have the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service.  Real entrepreneurs and business experts serve as volunteer coaches and mentors who guide student teams through the Lean Startup processes of developing hypotheses about a business concept, testing those hypotheses, adapting, and continually learning and improving.  This cycle of experimentation is combined with foundational business concepts and skills in marketing and finance.

Students will develop the necessary skills for the 21st Century economy including:

  • adaptability
  • collaboration
  • critical thinking
  • creativity
  • problem solving

INCubatoredu creates a foundational experience for high school students who will study entrepreneurship and business in college as well as for those students who enter the workforce after graduating from high school.  The course will be offered for the first time in the 2021-22 school year, but we are planning now.

How Can You Help?

  • Co-Teach a lesson in your area of expertise:  Spend a few hours in the classroom working directly with the teachers and students to teach a lesson about a topic in your area of expertise (ideation, value proposition, website creation, pricing, sales planning, marketing and many more topics).
  • Mentor a student group:  Work with a group of students throughout the school year to help them develop their idea into a minimum viable product and teach them how to think with a business mind
  • Network for our school: Help us bridge the gap between the community and PCHS to find business minded people to both teach a lesson about their area of expertise and/or mentor a student group.

Completing this form is not a commitment; it indicates your potential involvement.
We will contact you with more information.
