34 Students Score 30 or Higher on the ACT

NEW LENOX (December 7, 2021) – Providence Catholic High School Principal Dr. John Harper is pleased to announce that 34 students scored a 30 or higher on the ACT. “These students have excelled academically, and their dedication and hard work to their studies shows in their results on the ACT and in the classroom,” says Dr. Harper. “This is an especially remarkable accomplishment in the midst of a pandemic.”

The complete ACT profile for the Class of 2022 will be available at the end of the school year. For the Class of 2021, the top 10% of the class scored an average of 31.75, which is in the top five percent of all test takers in the country. The top 50% of the class scored an average of 27.25 on the ACT, while the average for the entire student body is 24.4 (which the national average is 21).

“Providence is blessed to have this incredible group of young people who are able to share their talents with our community each and every day,” says Luke Senffner, Director of the Counseling Department. “This impressive achievement was attained by 17% of our senior class, which is nearly double the percentage of students who achieved this same feat throughout the rest of the country.”
