Donor Spotlight: Jeff and Debby Arseneau

For Jeff and Debby Arseneau, Providence Catholic has always been more than the school their three children attended. It is a community that has remained an important part of their family long after their youngest graduated in 2014.

Their connection to Catholic education runs deep. Both Jeff and Debby attended Catholic schools, and when they moved to the area while their children were still young, they already knew Providence was where they hoped they would one day attend high school. Their children went on to graduate from PC in 2010, 2012 and 2014.

“The overall experience each of the three kids say was invaluable,” they shared. “There are truly too many ways to describe how we feel God in our lives at Provi.”

That experience is also what inspires Jeff and Debby to give back. Growing up, they watched their own parents model the importance of giving, and today they hope their support helps make a Providence education possible for more families.

“Catholic education shaped who not only we are, but our children as well. PC is a special place, and we want to do everything we can to see it around for another 100 years.”

Among their most treasured Providence experiences was watching each of their three children participate in Kairos. But some of their favorite memories are much simpler – simply walking the halls of Providence.

“I’ve always told a prospective family to walk the hallways with me during the school day. The feeling of being in the school is as special as anything we experienced. I often say, ‘We Teach More.’ The MORE is felt in those hallways. I truly believe the ‘MORE’ is God doing His work.”

More than a decade after their youngest graduated, Jeff and Debby continue to attend Providence events and remain part of the community. And today, their family has grown to include grandchildren – making their hope for the future of Providence even more meaningful.

“We consider PC our parish and come as often as we can. The nourishment we receive from being inside the school is what continues to draw us back and share our time, talent and treasure.”

Their wish is one rooted not only in their own family’s experience, but in ensuring generations of families to come have that same opportunity:

“My wish is for every Catholic family who wants to come to Provi to be able to find a way.”

We are incredibly grateful to Jeff and Debby for their continued generosity, their belief in Catholic education and their commitment to ensuring future generations of Celtics have the opportunity to experience the MORE that makes Providence Catholic so special.
