Providence Catholic High School Names Lee Rucinski Head Boys Volleyball Coach

(New Lenox) – Doug Ternik, Athletic Director of Providence Catholic High School, is pleased to announce the hiring of Lee Rucinski as the new Head Boys Volleyball Coach.

Rucinski is a Lynwood, IL native and a 1998 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. He has been the Boys Head Volleyball Coach at Oak Forest High School for the last six years (2013 – 2018). During his time as head coach, his team collected over 114 wins (an average of 19 wins per season) 4 SSC Conference Titles, 3 SSC Players of the Year, 18 All-Conference Players and was named SSC Coach of the Year (2014, 2017). He also had 13 players continue on to the collegiate level.

In addition, Rucinski is currently the Head Girls Volleyball Coach at Tinley Park High School. Over the last 10 years as head coach, his team has collected a total of 190 wins, 3 Regional Titles, 2 Sectional Titles, 2 SSC Blue Players of the Year, Named SSC Coach of the Year (2016), 23 All-Conference Players, and has had 5 players continue onto the collegiate level.

“I am looking forward to getting to know the young men in the program and help them to not only reach their potential on the volleyball court but to assist them on their path to reaching their life goals,” says Rucinski. “I believe in not only coaching the athlete in the sport but more importantly mentoring and helping the young men to mature and grow to become successful in life.”

Rucinski is a 2002 graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters in Sports Management.

He currently resides in Lynwood, IL with his wife Jessica who is the Assistant Principal at Bremen High School.
