William Sullivan Earns Villanova University Augustinian High School Scholarship

NEW LENOX (May 9, 2025) – Providence Catholic High School is proud to announce senior William Sullivan has been awarded the Villanova University Augustinian High School Scholarship—a distinguished, full-tuition academic scholarship renewable for four years. This merit-based award is presented to a select group of incoming Villanova students from Augustinian-affiliated secondary schools who embody the core Augustinian values and demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
Villanova University honors its Augustinian roots by recognizing students who live out the mission of truth, unity, and love through their academic and personal lives. William Sullivan, a graduate of Peotone Junior High School and the son of Mike and Kathy Sullivan, will attend Villanova University in the fall to pursue a degree in Biology with a minor in Economics.
Throughout his four years at Providence Catholic, William amassed academic honors including the award for Chemistry Honors as a sophomore; awards in Church History, AP Scholar with Honor, and the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish his junior year; and the Celtic Award in Soccer his senior year. He was named an Illinois State Scholar and is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.
Beyond the classroom, William has been an active and engaged member of the Providence Catholic community. He participated in Math Team all four years, which took ninth place in state this year. He has been a member of the Mock Trial team, Scholastic Bowl team, and Habitat for Humanity. He excelled in athletics as a member of the school’s volleyball team all four years, and the soccer team sophomore through senior year.
