LaBine Heads to All-State Honors Choir

This past November, eight Providence Catholic High School musicians performed at the Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) District 1 Festival. Students from the choir and band underwent stringent auditions to qualify for the festival. For the first time in Providence Catholic Fine Arts history, Senior, Alyssa LaBine, was selected to participate in the All-State Honors Choir in Peoria, IL during the during the 2019 Illinois Music Educators Conference to be held January 24 through 26. LaBine is considered to be one of the top altos in the State of Illinois. ILMEA All-State is the most prestigious high school music festival in the state of Illinois, and one of the highest single honors a high school musician can achieve.
