Building our Legacy

Every Student…Every Day

We are proud to announce that Providence Catholic has surpassed its $6.0 million capital campaign goal!

The “Building Our Legacy, Every Student…Every Day: 100thAnniversary Capital Campaign” has raised $6 million from more than 741 alumni, parents, friends, corporations, and foundations.  The campaign was for a student commons and air conditioning in the original classrooms.

This campaign was the most ambitious in the 100-year history of the school.  Nearly one-third of the total was raised from parents, past and present.  In addition, one-third of the donors who participated were alumni. The faculty, staff and volunteer leadership boards provided nearly 100% participation.  The lead gift was from LaVerne and Dorothy Brown for whom the new Brown Student Commons is named.  The facility includes a new modern kitchen, food court, concession stand, spirit shop and seating for more than 500 students.  It officially opened September 24, 2018.  Thank you for your financial support of this project.

Join us in doing something greater, together!  Your gift will make a difference in helping to furnish the Brown Student Commons.

Our Vision

As we celebrate our 100th Anniversary, now is the time to continue to build our legacy by planning for the future of our school and students. With your help, we seek to fully fund a new student commons/cafeteria and to provide air conditioning in the original classrooms. We invite you to join us by supporting this project impacts every student, every day. The commons provides a space to complement our academic mission. As we look to best serve our students, we must pursue these projects which were outlined as part of our most recent strategic plan.

Why a Student Commons?

21,800 square-foot Student Commons Cafeteria

The increase space will make it possible to consolidate lunch periods, thereby freeing up time during which new electives (e.g., science, technology, math, and engineering) will be offered.

The new facility will provide a safe, welcoming, central space for all students to gather before, during, and after school hours.

Kitchen & Concessions

A new larger modern kitchen, food court, and concession space allow our staff to provide a greater diversity in offerings – hot and cold, healthy and quick.

The facility includes additional restrooms for students, faculty, and guests.

A new entrance features a spacious roundabout pick-up & drop-off area and creates an attractive southwest entry for our school building.

Air Conditioning throughout the Original Classrooms

Air conditioning in the 36 original classrooms provides for a better learning environment for every student. The air conditioning was operational on August 22, 2018. Prior to that only 30% of the classrooms air-conditioned.
