Building our Legacy

Every Student…Every Day

This year marks 100th anniversary of Providence Catholic High School.  In celebration of our centennial year, the new LaVerne and Dorothy Brown Cafeteria/Commons is being enjoyed by every student, every day.  Alumni and parents find the commons to be a perfect location for their gatherings.    This spacious and sunlit area has been joyfully embraced by the school community.

This addition was accomplished through the generosity of many people.  Our goal is $6 million, and our pledges tally $5.95 million!  We plan to raise the remaining funds from loyal and supportive alumni and parents. You are invited to make a family gift to help us reach our goal.

Join us in doing something greater, together!

The New LaVerne and Dorothy Brown Student Commons

Our Vision

As we celebrate our 100th Anniversary, now is the time to continue to build our legacy by planning for the future of our school and students. With your help, we seek to fully fund a new student commons/cafeteria and to provide air conditioning in the original classrooms. We invite you to join us by supporting this project which will impact every student, every day. The commons provides a space to complement our academic mission. As we look to best serve our students, we must pursue these projects which were outlined as part of our most recent strategic plan.

Why a Student Commons?

21,800 square-foot Student Commons Cafeteria

The increase space will make it possible to consolidate lunch periods, thereby freeing up time during which new electives (e.g., science, technology, math, and engineering) will be offered.

The new facility will provide a safe, welcoming, central space for all students to gather before, during, and after school hours.

Kitchen & Concessions

A new larger modern kitchen, food court, and concession space allow our staff to provide a greater diversity in offerings – hot and cold, healthy and quick.

The facility includes additional restrooms for students, faculty, and guests.

A new entrance features a spacious roundabout pick-up & drop-off area and creates an attractive southwest entry for our school building.

Air Conditioning throughout the Original Classrooms

Air conditioning in the 36 original classrooms provides for a better learning environment for every student. The air conditioning was operational on August 22, 2018. Prior to that only 30% of the classrooms air-conditioned.
