100th Anniversary Capital Campaign

Our Vision

As we prepare to celebrate our 100th Anniversary, now is the time to continue to build our legacy by planning for the future of our school and students. With your help, we seek to build a new student commons/cafeteria and to provide air conditioning in the original classrooms We invite you to join us by supporting this project which will impact every student, every day The commons will provide a space to complement our academic mission In this highly competitive environment for students, we must pursue these projects which were outlined as part of our most recent strategic plan.

Why a Student Commons?

21,800 square-foot Student Commons Cafeteria

The increase space will make it possible to consolidate four lunch periods into two lunch periods, thereby freeing up time during which new electives (e.g., science, technology, math, and engineering) could be offered.

The new facility will provide a safe, welcoming, central space for all students to gather before, during, and after school hours.

Kitchen & Concessions

A new larger modern kitchen, food court, and concession space will allow our staff to provide a greater diversity in offerings – hot and cold, healthy and quick.

The facility will include additional restrooms for students, faculty, and guests.

A new entrance will feature a spacious roundabout pick-up & drop-off area and create an attractive southwest entry for our school building.

Air Conditioning throughout the Original Classrooms

Installing air conditioning in the 36 original classrooms will provide for a better learning environment for every student. Currently 30% of the classrooms are air conditioned. New power required for the student commons will provide sufficient energy to phase in cooling the remaining classrooms.
