NEW Scholarships up to $10,000

NEW LENOX (December 6, 2016) – Providence Catholic has implemented a new academic scholarship program that will tremendously impact the incoming freshmen (Class of 2021) who enter PCHS in the Fall of 2017. The scholarships range from $6,000 to $10,000 and are available to all students who place in the Top 10% on the school’s January Placement Exam.

“We are very excited to implement these new scholarships,” said Mrs. Rachel Ellingson, Providence Catholic’s Enrollment Director. Students who score in the 95-99 percentile will receive the Celtic Scholar with Distinction Award, which is $2,500 per year for a total of $10,000. Students who score in the 90-94 percentile will receive the Celtic Scholar Award, which is $1,500 per year for a total of $6,000. “This is a significant investment in our academic programs,” added Ellingson.

Providence Catholic’s Placement Exam will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2017, beginning at 8 a.m. Students should arrive between 7:30 am – 7:45 am. The exam is open to all eighth graders interested in attending Providence Catholic for the 2017-2018 school year.

Pre-registration is not necessary, but there is a $25 testing fee due on the day of the exam. All testers are asked to bring two #2 pencils and a completed Student Information Form, which is available on the Placement Exam page of the school’s website.  Calculators are not allowed to be used for the exam.
