Retreats are scheduled to introduce the student to the affective dimension of faith. Every student is required to attend a retreat each year.

  • The Freshman and Sophomore classes spend a day here on campus experiencing many aspects of our Catholic faith and the Augustinian values.
  • The Junior class spends a day on campus with Fr. Tom McCarthy, OSA.
  • Seniors who do not participate in Kairos must attend a one-day, on-campus retreat.
  • Kairos:   This three-day, off-campus retreat for seniors is an exceptionally powerful experience of God’s love that focuses on personal witness stories, liturgy, song, prayer and small group discussions.    For more information, contact Kairos Directors Mrs. Melissa Sallade (815,717,3156) or Mr. Paul Ickes (815.717.3330).

Fourth Day :  Students and staff who have experienced the Kairos retreat gather periodically each year for small group discussion and the celebration of liturgy.

New Celtic Welcome:  New Celtic welcome is scheduled as one of the first events during student orientation in August. Volunteer faculty, staff and students lead activities that introduce freshmen, transfer and international students to each other within the context of the Augustinian values of Truth, Unity and Love.

SAVI:  Students travel to another Augustinian high school to deepen their understanding of the core values of Truth, Unity and Love through an experience of faith, friendship and service.  Learn more about SAVI here.

Community Day of Reflection:  The adult staff celebrates a day-long retreat to pray, build community and simply enjoy each other’s company.
