Veritas Award Application

Veritas Award Application is available online! Applications are due December 6, 2024! The Providence Catholic Veritas Award is awarded to incoming freshmen who best embody the Mission of Providence Catholic High School and show the potential to emulate the Augustinian core values of Truth, Unity, and Love. January 2025 – April 2025: Shadow Days

Prospective students are able to shadow a current PCHS student for the day.  Students are here for the entire day and get to participate in actual class time, meet with extracurricular moderators and coaches, meet faculty and staff and experience a day in the life of a Celtic! If a student cannot attend on a Shadow Day, personal family tours are available throughout the year.

  • January: 17, 24, 31
  • February: 7, 14, 28
  • March: 7, 18, 28** (**=Super Celtic Shadow Day)
  • April: 4, 11, 25

Drop off: 7:30-7:45am  |  Pick up: 2:15pm

January 20, 2025

Make-up Placement Exam for those students who did not test at another Catholic High School. Registration required: https://www.providencecatholic.org/admissions/placement-exam-registration/


Late-December to Mid-January

Placement Exam results will posted to the student’s Blackbaud account.

Information regarding steps in the registration and scheduling process will be provided in a checklist on your online account.


January 2025

Online registration must be completed in its entirety by Noon, Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Instructions will be provided on the Admissions page of our website.

As part of the online registration process, you will be required to upload a copy of your student’s certified, county birth certificate and make the $300 tuition deposit electronically.


February 1, 2025

All financial aid applications are due to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment.

Two sessions: 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM
Please attend whichever session works best for your family
Registration not required

  • Park in back by the football field.  Please enter the Student Commons using Door #14.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your session to provide adequate time for check in.  At check-in you will receive a personalized packet with your student’s course selection sheet (provided we have received your Course Electives Request form as described above) and other pertinent information.
  • Promptly at 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM, there will be a brief presentation.
  • After the presentation you are free to meet with staff in any of the following areas:
    • Representatives from Administration and Counseling Department – You can discuss scheduling options.
    • If your child has an IEP/504, you will have an opportunity to meet with Mrs. Mary Turkowski, Director of the Celtic Learning Center.  If you have not done so already, please email the most updated IEP/504 information to Mrs. Turkowski at  mturkowski@providencecatholic.org by April 1.
    • Spirit Shop – The Spirit Shop will be open before and after both sessions.
    • Dress Code apparel – The Dean’s Office will be on hand to answer any questions regarding dress code requirements and will have sample polos on hand.  This is your only opportunity to try on polos for size.
    • Tuition/Financial Aid – Mrs. Stephanie Murach will be on hand to answer any questions.
    • General Information – Other sign-up information, cheer and dance Spring try-out information, summer camp brochures, Proficiency Exam information and more.
    • Online registration assistance – For anyone having trouble registering or completing checklist items.

FAQ’s

  • Parents and/or students are welcome to attend.  If your student cannot join you, parents should still attend the presentation and visit the other areas of interest.
  • There will be Spanish speakers on hand to help.
  • In total, each session should take approximately 45-60 minutes depending on your questions.
  • If you cannot make either session but still have questions, contact the Enrollment Office at 815-717-3288 and we will help!

April 12 or 15, 2025: Proficiency Exams for Algebra, Spanish, French

April 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM or April 15, 2025 at 4:00 PM

Register here to take one or more exams.

Each proficiency exam will last 1 hour.

There is no cost to take proficiency exams.

Calculators are allowed for the Algebra exam.

June 9 – 27, 2025

Summer Studies Program

The Summer Studies Program is offered between June 9-27.

If a student is only taking one session (Math OR English):

  • they will be placed in one of the following sessions:
    • 8:00am – 9:30am  -OR-  9:45am – 11:15am.
  • the cost is $100, which covers the cost of books and supplies.

If a student is taking both sessions:

  • they will attend from 8:00am – 11:15am.
  • the cost is $200, which covers the cost of books and supplies.

Parents and students will be notified in their scheduling packet if the Summer Studies course is recommended. If a student is not recommended for Summer Studies, but would like to attend, please contact Ann Toutant at 815-717-3140.
