August 1: Veritas Award Application

Veritas Award Application is available online! The Providence Catholic Veritas Award is awarded to incoming freshmen who best embody the Mission of Providence Catholic High School and show the potential to emulate the Augustinian core values of Truth, Unity, and Love. Apply online here:


Now – December 2022: Shadow Days

Shadow Days – Prospective students are able to shadow a current PCHS student for the day.  Students are here for the entire day and get to participate in actual class time, meet with extracurricular moderators and coaches, meet faculty and staff and experience a day in the life of a Celtic! This opportunity is open to 7th & 8th graders!

If a student cannot attend on a Shadow Day, personal family tours are available throughout the year. Parents must register their student for a Shadow Day prior to arrival. Register online here.   Once registered, you will receive an email the week of your student’s Shadow Day with more details.

Drop off: 7:30-7:45am

Pick up: 2:15pm

November: Placement Exam Registration

Calling all 8th graders!  This is a the first step to becoming a Celtic!  Be sure to take the Placement Exam at Providence Catholic on Saturday, December 3.  By taking the exam at PCHS, this qualifies an incoming Freshman for merit and leadership scholarships. Be sure to register for the Placement Exam prior to December 3.

November 13, 2022: Open House

November 2 and 30: Mini Open House

6:30pm – Mini Open House for all prospective families. Register online by clicking here.


December 3, 2022: Placement Exam

8:00 AM-11:30 AM

Placement Exam for all incoming freshmen!

Pre-registration is required – (located on the Placement Exam page of our website).

Arrival between 7:30-7:45 AM

$25 Test Fee-pay online during registration

Students will receive a packet of material for their parent(s)/guardian(s) regarding financial aid and scholarships available at PCHS.


January 9, 2023: Placement Exam Results Mailed

Placement Exam results will be sent via U. S. Mail. Information regarding the final steps in the scheduling process will be provided in this mailing.


January 9, 2023-February 26, 2023: Online Registration

In order to have your student’s schedule for registration night at the end of February, online registration must be completed in its entirety by Noon, Sunday, February 26, 2023.

As part of the online registration process, you will be required to upload a copy of your student’s certified, county birth certificate and make the $300 tuition deposit electronically.


February 1, 2023: Financial Aid Applications Due

All financial aid applications are due to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment.


February 21, 2023: Scholarship and Financial Aid Award Notifications

Financial Aid Award and PCHS Scholarship Award notifications are mailed out.

February 27, 2023: Freshmen Scheduling and Information Night

Two sessions, times TBD.

March 1, 2023: Kazma Family Scholarship Application Due

(check for more specific details)

March 13, 2023: Summer Work Program Application Due

Summer Work Program applications are due.


March 24, 2023: Freshmen Party               

6:30 PM-9:00 PM

Freshman Party-invitations will be emailed to registered students only.


April 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM OR April 25, 2023 at 4:00 PM: Proficiency Exams

Proficiency Exams for Algebra, Spanish, French

Students interested in taking a Proficiency Exam, can register for the exam(s) of their choosing, closer to the date.

  • Choose one date to take one or more exams.
  • Each proficiency exam will last 1 hour.
  • There is no cost to take proficiency exams. Calculators are allowed for the Algebra exam.


May 31, 2023: Polo Purchase

Purchase your dress code polos by May 31 to ensure they will be delivered before the start of the school year.

Summer Studies Program

Parents and students will be notified in their scheduling packet if the Summer Studies course is recommended.


June 7, 2023: Freshmen Family BBQ

5:30 -8:00 PM

Freshman Family BBQ-invitations will be emailed to registered students only                    


August 7, 2023: Fall Sports Tryouts
