The Cor Unum Medallion, the schools most prestigious honor, is award annually to persons who exemplify its inscription of “One Heart…in, Ministry…in, Mission…in Family.” Rev. Richard J. McGrath, O.S.A. presented the Cor Unum medallions. Both couples personify the meaning of “Cor Unum” through their generosity to help Providence Catholic become the school it is today; a community of believers working toward the common goals of providing a safe and healthy environment for students to grow spiritually, academically and socially,” said Rev. Richard McGrath, O.S.A. PCHS President.
To highlight the importance of this award, a $5,000 endowed scholarship was established in the name of the recipients. These scholarships will be award on the basis of financial need. Last year the school awarded 28 Cor Unum Scholarships to students. “It is our hope that the Providence Catholic community will continue to contribute toward these scholarships to increase the financial assistance available to students need,” said Ed Barrett, Director of Institutional Advancement at PCHS.
